Replacement Tangerine Cutting Plates, Embossing Plates and Flexi Mat

144E
$15.99

Description

The Tangerine Die Cutting Machine comes with the essential standard cutting and embossing plates that you need to create accurate die cuts. They are designed for a long life, but these plates can deteriorate over time and many uses – and you may prefer a smaller mini plate or a Flexi Mat for specific projects instead. That’s why we offer a variety of replacement plate and mat options to best fit your needs.

Each replacement plate and mat option is sold separately. You will find details on all of these products below.

Please refer to your Tangerine instruction leaflet for full instructions on use, or check out our blog to learn how to die cut like a pro here!

White Top Plates

White top plates are needed for both die cutting and embossing with the Tangerine Machine. They are available in two sizes, with the Mini Plate being ideal for creating smaller and more detailed designs.

Full Sized White Top Plate (143E)

Mini White Top Plate (149E) – 5.98” x 8.5” (215mm x 152mm)

Top Tips:

Ensure the cutting edge of the die is facing away from this top plate

The plates will wear over time, so make sure you use both sides for extended life

Some intricate dies may not cut in one pass. If necessary, rotate your die and card 90 degrees and cut again

Embossing your die cut shapes (using the Green Embossing Plate and Flexi Mat) can aid stubborn cuts

For best results, use 240gsm cardstock

Orange Base Plates for Die Cutting

Orange plates are the bottom plate used when die cutting with the Tangerine Machine. The cutting edge of the die should always face toward this base plate, with the cardstock in between. They are available in two sizes, with the Mini Plate being ideal for creating smaller and more detailed die cuts.

Full Sized Orange Base Plate (142E)

Mini Orange Base Plate (148E) – 5.98” x 8.5” (215mm x 152mm)

Top Tips:

Ensure the cutting edge of the die is facing toward this base plate

The plates will wear over time, so make sure you use both sides for extended life

Some intricate dies may not cut in one pass. If necessary, rotate your die and card 90 degrees and cut again

Embossing your die cut shapes (using the Green Embossing Plate and Flexi Mat) can aid stubborn cuts

For best results, use 240gsm cardstock

Raspberry Embossing Plate for Use with Embossing Folders (146E)

Raspberry Embossing Plates are used as the base plate when embossing with an embossing folder. The White Top Plate is also used, and your embossing folder (with cardstock inside) sits in the middle.

Top Tips:

Embossing folders differ in design complexity and plate thickness. Sometimes experimentation is required but you should never force a stiff plate combination through your Tangerine!

If your embossing folder combination is breaking your cardstock, consider using the green plate to replace the white top plate.

If the embossed result is weak, consider using the green plate and mat to replace the white top plate.

For best results, use 240gsm cardstock

Green Embossing Plate and Flexi Mat for Embossing with Die Sets

Green Embossing Plates and Flexi Mats are used as the base when embossing detail from a die set. The White Top Plate is also used for this type of embossing, followed by your die (with the sharp edge facing down into the cardstock below). The green Flexi Mat comes next, with the Green Embossing Plate on the very bottom:

Top Tips:

For best results, use 240gsm cardstock
